The past 18 months certainly haven't been easy, for our staff and especially for our residents. However, we have kept spirits high and our home safe during the pandemic, of course, we've had to take strong measures to keep the virus out and that has been hard on everyone. But, finally we're back to some sense of normality and our residents can now see their loved ones more frequently. We also had our booster jabs today for all of our residents so they now have an extra layer of security!
As the nights get darker it's so important to keep our residents happy and healthy, it's common to get a bit low when the Autumn/Winter months come in but that's why we ensure we put on 2 activities a day to keep our residents entertained! We are also open for Day Care again which allows for new faces to enter the home (safely of course) which is lovely for our residents to make new friendships.
We still keep our regular weekly testing in place as we know the virus is still out there, we can't take any chances! We know that this is something we have to live with now and we can't be scared of it, we will enjoy Autumn, Winter and Christmas in the best way we can.
We have always adhered to Government Guidelines when allowing visitors near our home and made sure all guests have taken a lateral flow test before enterting and are wearing masks when visiting our loved ones and sat in a well-ventilated room. It’s so hard to ensure the safety of our residents and keep them healthy as well as trying to live a normal life and enjoy their time in our home, it has been very difficult but we had to do what was best for our residents!
Our staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that everybody is happy and healthy in this last year – and we couldn’t be more grateful for their dedication!
